Money from chance!

I feel like I'm bumping around army life by chance - it's so weird the things you can discover if you are paying attention. So we found this "service members relief act" a few months ago. Basically if you have a loan over 6% from before you enlisted... just send papers that say you're enlisted and they will drop it to 6% (retroactive even!) not sure all the details but we did it...They just credited our Houston Mortgage with $3500. If we'd turned in paperwork dating back to basic instead of DC... (which we will) it would have retro-ed another $1000! $4500 we didn't know they would just give us for asking (and being enlisted)!!!! WOW!
